About MMPL     microscope.gif

The Molecular Microbial Physiology Laboratory (MMPL) was founded with the mission to research molecular structures of genomes and gene products in microorganisms.  In addition, MMPL group has focused on the functional studies of genes involved in pyrimidine de novo and salvage pathways and the regulation mechanism of gene expression.

Currently the MMPL group is investigating the function of PyrR for pyrimidine nucleotide synthesis (collaborating with Dr. J. Neuhard, Univ. of Copenhagen and Dr. R. L. Switzer, Univ. of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign) from various bacteria, and iis working on the Korean Helicobacter pylori Genome Sequencing Project (collaborating with Dr. Rhee, K.-H. at the Medical School of Gyeongsang National University).
